Zero Water Consumption Commercial Buildings, A New Revolution

(St. Pete Beach, FL) The crisis over the shortage of potable water is now occurring in various parts of the world. Ecotech's "Water Conservation" technology is aggressively addressing this problem. With increased worldwide population and the resulting demands for new development the supply of potable water might very well become the new "oil" of the 21st century.

Ecotech Water has recently announced an improved water conservation program and new products for both commercial and public facilities. Their products are capable of saving up to 100% on water and sewer charges while also providing additional significant savings in both water heating and maintenance costs. Ecotech products consistently offer improved performance over the higher consumption bathroom fixtures on the market.

Ecotech's CEO, Terry Janssen, stated: "when a total retrofit is completed using Ecotech products they can shut the water off". He was referring to a building retrofit completed with the Ecotech Water Conservation Program. "In a normal year, the building would need no outside water from a well or city water" Janssen further stated. "In other words they (the end user) will not need to take any water from the aquifer". It should be noted that in many locations these water sources are being depleted and are becoming alarmingly very low.

Ecotech has developed and is manufacturing "one-of-a-kind" state of the art products designed to save potable water that is now being used in both commercial and public facilities.

Ecotech's specialized product line starts with a non-water using urinal designed to replace the more traditional water using urinals found in many facilities. Ecotech's "ECO URINAL" utilizes a specialized insert (cartridge) in the bottom of the bowl. The cartridge insert allows the flow of urine to pass through without flushing with water. The elastomeric material in the insert then closes thus preventing sewer gases from entering the restroom area. The Eco Urinal Cartridge, unlike other replaceable non-water urinal cartridges now on the market, is designed so that it does not need replacing. Another added advantage is a 10 year guarantee. Installing non-water using "Eco Urinals" obviously decreases water usage. In fact, some facilities can save 150,000 gallons or more of potable water per year per urinal. Not only do the urinals save on water and sewer charges; but they save additional monies by curtailing maintenance and the potential for vandalism.

The "Eco Urinal Cartridge" is designed to be used not only in Ecotech's "Eco Urinal" but also in many of the other non-water using urinals currently on the market. This patent pending product will make changing cartridges and replacing sealant a thing of the past for the current users of this cutting-edge technology.

Ecotech has also developed the "ECOCLOSET". A toilet designed specifically for commercial and public venues to replace or eliminate the flush valve type of toilet. It uses pressure assist technology along with a specially designed tank and bowl to achieve a toilet that is capable of better performance and flushing with 50% less water. The ECOCLOSET uses 0.8 gallons per flush versus the lowest flush competitive toilet which typically use 1.6 gallons per flush. Many older style toilets still use 3.5 gallons per flush and there are still some that are using as high as 7.0 gallons per flush. The patent pending ECOCLOSETS are designed to prevent vandalism and any of the few working parts that may need replacing are furnished without charge for 10 years. As a result the customer immediately saves 50% or more in water consumption and 100% of parts maintenance costs for at least 10 years.

Ecotech's 0.75 to 1.0 gallon per minute showerhead is the only one of its kind in the world. Pressurized water from the water main is passed through a turbulizer inside the showerhead which increases the quality of the shower stream. Water exiting the showerhead feels like that of a shower using up to 3-4 times more water per minute. This product will save you up to 60% of current water usage, decrease the amount of money you spend to heat water and because of the pressure generated inside the head, it is self-cleaning, thus, preventing a buildup of mineral scale within the head itself.

The same type of technology has been incorporated into a sink aerator with the same incredible results. The aerators use only 0.25 to 0.33 gallon per minute and can significantly reduce your water consumption. Remember that saving significant amounts of water also means lower sewer charges and you'll also be saving more dollars on the electricity or gas that would have been used to heat the hot water now going down the drain.

Finally, this specialized technology has been incorporated into Ecotech's commercial kitchen pre-wash spray valve. This pre-wash valve uses only 0.5 GPM and meets Health Department paste removal requirements. Compare this product to the more commonly used valves that require 3-5 gallons per minute and you can see why studies show that a small commercial kitchen can save $2,000 or more per year in water, sewer and water heating costs.

Ecotech's product line continues to grow as new technology becomes available. It now also includes dripless trap primers, rainwater harvesting systems, condensate capture and water recycle systems. Substantial savings can be realized by choosing to use these innovative products. For example, the typical trap primer can use between 12,000-15,000 gallons of water per year and even washing a bus can use up to 2,000 gallons of water per wash. Ecotech's water conserving products can cut trap primer water use to zero and can help recycle the "wash" water from commercial laundry facilities and equipment or vehicle washing areas.

With biodegradable and recyclable packaging, non-changeable waterless urinal cartridges along with the replacement parts recycle program Ecotech is placing a great deal of emphasis on both Environmental and Global Warming issues and concerns.

By working aggressively to save potable water we are all increasing our chances of having enough of this valuable resource for the future. Ecotech customers can use the savings in water and sewer charges to pay for the products they choose to purchase or they can purchase the product outright. After the products are paid for the dollar and water savings become those of the customer. Lower water usage, lowers demand placed on the sewer infrastructure and coupled with lower utility bills this becomes a win-win situation for everyone. Ecotech has found that many current customers are seeing a reduction of 50-70% in their bills and in some cases a 100% reduction.

As an additional service to current and prospective customers Ecotech has a "Water Conservation Study Service" available (done without charge) and an optional funding package through Utility Trust www.utilitytrust.org.
